Rummel put its unbeaten mark on the line Saturday against Shaw in a Catholic League matchup, and the Raiders wasted little asserting their superiority in the matchup.
The experienced Raiders built a 35-0 halftime lead before eventually prevailing, 42-0, which meant the Rummel defense had held its fifth straight opponent to 3 points or fewer. The unit has now given up just six points through five games, and recorded its fourth touchdown of the season with Vanderbilt commitment Donovan Kaufman returning a fumble for a score in the third quarter.
Junior quarterback Kyle Wickersham also threw for three touchdowns while Shaw freshman Michael Williams made a couple of plays in the passing game for the Eagles.
Rummel also announced its 2019 Hall of Fame Class prior to the game, which was also homecoming for the Raiders.
