Champion St. Paul’s of Covington topped the selections to the 2019 All-State Lacrosse team as selected by the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League.
The Wolves had five players selected to the first team.
Ian Varney and Chris Flood of St. Paul’s were named to the first team as attackers. Hyde Healy made the first team on defense along with Jakob Massey at Long Stick Midfielder (LSM) and Merrick Coghlan at Short Stick Defensive Midfielder (SSDM).
Airline had three first-team selections while St. Thomas More and Caddo Magnet had two each.
Airline’s selections included Peyton Stafford on defense, Ryan Francis at Face Off Get Off (FOGO) and Michael Mosura at LSM.
Chosen from St. Thomas More were attackers Logan Stinson and Mason Duhon.
Caddo Magnet’s first teamers came on defense with Jack Howell and midfielder with Cameron Strait.
Others named to the first team include Jarmone Sutherland, midfielder, Newman; Nathaniel Spears, midfielder, Dutchtown; Clark Romig, FOGO, Jesuit; and Jake Bodino, goalie, Brother Martin.
Selected to the second team from the attack position were: Noah Susan, Caddo Magnet; Charlie November, Newman; and Caleb Barber, Catholic.
Second-team selections as defenders were: Joseph Sentilles, Brother Martin; William Blanchet, St. Thomas More; and Mark Warren, Caddo Magnet.
Midfielders included: Paxton Ballard and Jack Collins, both of St. Paul’s; and Thomas Malveaux, Acadiana.
Second team at SSDM was Ardis Sikes of Caddo Magnet, while the second-team goalie was Corbin Ritch of Airline.
